Industrial Hydroblasting Services

High-Pressure Hydro Blasting from 100 to 2,400 bar

Expert hydroblasting for surface, tube and line cleaning on industrial sites across South Africa — delivered with hands-free tooling, full PPE and site-specific risk controls.

Hydro Blasting by FGH Equipment Rentals & Services
What is hydro blasting?

Water-jet cleaning that removes what mechanical methods can't

Hydro blasting (also called water jetting or hydrojetting) uses ultra-high-pressure water to strip scale, coatings, product build-up and corrosion from industrial surfaces without abrasives or chemicals. FGH operates units from 100 bar for routine wash-downs right up to 2,400 bar for the hardest deposits.

Our crews are trained on hands-free tooling — automated tube lancing, rotating nozzles and surface-prep heads — so operators stay out of the line of fire. Every job starts with a site risk assessment and ends with a clean, inspected surface ready for the next stage of your shutdown or maintenance programme.

What's included

Hydro blasting applications we deliver

Heat exchanger & tube bundle cleaning

Automated tube lancing clears fouled bundles quickly and uniformly, restoring heat-transfer efficiency.

Pipe & line cleaning

Internal pipe jetting removes scale, sludge and blockages from process lines, drains and culverts.

Surface preparation

Strip old coatings, rust and contaminants to a clean substrate ahead of inspection or recoating.

Tank & vessel wall cleaning

Remove product residue and build-up from storage tanks, reactors and silos.

Concrete & floor hydro-demolition

Controlled removal of damaged concrete and heavy process deposits without impact tools.

Plant outage support

Dedicated hydro blasting crews and units scheduled around your shutdown programme.

How we work

Our hydro blasting process

Every FGH job follows the same disciplined sequence — scope it properly, control the risk, do the work, and hand it back documented.

01

Site survey & risk assessment

We inspect the equipment, confirm pressure requirements and complete a job-specific risk assessment before any water is brought online.

02

Equipment selection

The right pump unit, nozzle and tooling are matched to the material being removed and the access available.

03

Controlled execution

Exclusion zones, PPE and hands-free tooling are in place throughout. Progress is checked against the agreed scope.

04

Inspection & handover

Cleaned surfaces are inspected with you, waste water is contained and the area is handed back ready for the next task.

FAQ

Hydro Blasting questions, answered

What pressure do you need for my job?

It depends on the material. Light product build-up and wash-downs are typically handled at 100–500 bar, scale and coatings at 1,000–1,500 bar, and hardened deposits or hydro-demolition at up to 2,400 bar. We confirm the pressure during the site survey.

Is hydro blasting safe to run next to live plant?

Yes, with the right controls. Our crews set up exclusion zones, use hands-free tooling and follow an ISO-aligned SHERQ system so work can proceed alongside your operations.

Does hydro blasting damage the underlying surface?

No. Water alone does the work, so steel, concrete and most linings are left intact. Pressure and nozzle selection are chosen specifically to protect the substrate.

Can you handle the waste water?

Yes. We can contain, recover and transport the run-off through our industrial vacuum and waste transport services, with documentation for your records.

Need hydro blasting on your site?

Tell us about the job and we’ll scope, quote and schedule it — with the safety, quality and reliability your operation demands.
