What we do

From sludge removal to a clean, inspection-ready tank

Over time, storage tanks collect sludge, sediment and product residue that reduce capacity, corrode the shell and make inspection impossible. FGH tank cleaning removes that build-up safely, so the tank can be inspected, repaired, recommissioned or changed to a new product.

We clean crude oil, wastewater, asphalt and bitumen, chemical and water tanks using a combination of hydro blasting, industrial vacuum recovery and manual entry by confined-space trained crews. Every job ends with a clean tank, documented disposal of the removed material and a formal handover.

How we work

Our tank cleaning process

Every FGH job follows the same disciplined sequence — scope it properly, control the risk, do the work, and hand it back documented.

1

Isolation & gas-freeing

The tank is isolated, drained and ventilated. Atmosphere is tested before any entry.

2

Bulk removal

Industrial vacuum units lift the bulk sludge and liquid residue out of the tank.

3

Wall & floor cleaning

Hydro blasting and manual cleaning strip remaining residue from the shell, roof and floor.

4

Inspection & handover

The clean tank is inspected with you, disposal paperwork is issued and the tank is handed back.

FAQ

Tank Cleaning questions, answered

How long does a tank clean take?

It depends on tank size, the product and the amount of sludge. After a site visit we give you a clear programme so the tank can be scheduled into your maintenance window.

Do you clean tanks that still contain product?

Tanks must be drained before cleaning starts. We can assist with pumping out remaining product and recovering it for reuse or disposal.

Is confined-space entry included?

Yes. Our crews are trained for permit-controlled confined-space work, with gas monitoring, rescue standby and the required PPE.

What happens to the sludge?

It is recovered by vacuum, transported by our certified fleet and disposed of at a licensed facility, with documentation provided for your records.

Need tank cleaning on your site?

Tell us about the job and we’ll scope, quote and schedule it — with the safety, quality and reliability your operation demands.
